Edible Oil Price Going Up in Anhui

 

In the grain wholesale market of all countries of Anhui Province, the wholesale price of corn is continuously going up since the mid-term of February 2003. In the wholesale market in the large and middle cities, the price of rapeseed oil was 6.11RMB/kg, 0.02RMB/kg increased that that of January. In the country¡¯s wholesale market, the price of rapeseed oil was increased from 5.67RMB/kg to 5.85RMB/kg and the price for the soybean oil was remained 5.80RMB/kg. The wholesale price in the village market was 5.80RMB/kg, increased 0.22RMB/kg and the price for the soybean oil was increased from 5.70RMB/kg to 5.78RMB/kg.
Shenyang Vegetables Target Foreign Markets

March 7. Shenyang Municipality made a special policy to promote the green vegetable production in the area to target the Japanese, Korean and Russian market. It is planned that the area of green vegetable will be increased to 3 million mu (15 = 1 ha.) in 2003, 6 million mu in 2004 and 8 million mu in 2005. Shenyang wants to become the vegetable production bases for Japan, Korea and Russian.

 

Soybean Price Continuously Going up in Hebei

Effected by the increasing of soybean demand and the reduce of output, the soybean price began to continuously going up since mid of February 2003 in Hebei Province. By the end of January, the retailed price of soybean was 2.61RMB/kg, 17% over that of 2001. As statistical by the Agriculture Survey Team, in the year 2002, the total sowing area of soybean was 4.97 million mu in the whole province, continuously reducing for four years with an reduce of 12.6%, decreasing 719 thousand mu. The total output was 494 thousand tons, 69 thousand tons lower than that of 2001, an decreasing of 12.2%. The unit yield was 99.4 kg, a little increase than that of 2001.
