China Wheat Export will Reach 1.2 Million Ton
It is indicated by the US Agricultural Councilor in China, in the year of 2001 to 2002 (begin from July 2001), the China¡¯s harvesting area of wheat was 24.65 million hectare;the storage volume was 5.16 million tons, the output was 93.87 million tons; the total import volume was 10.34 thousand tons and export volume was 15.12 thousand tons.
It is estimated that by the year 2002/2003, the China¡¯s total wheat harvesting area will be 23.5 million hectare; the storage volume will be 83.55 million tons; the total output will be 90 million tons; the total import volume will be 1 million tons and the export will be 1.2 million tons.
High Quality Oil Crops Processing Base Set up in Nanchang
By the end of 2005, it will set up the production and processing base of 450 thousand mu (15 mu = 1 ha)for high quality oil crops in Anyi County, Nanchang County and Jinxian County in Nanchang city and it will be enlarged to 800 thousand mu by the end of 2010, with the total rapeseed output of 104 thousand ton.
By the year of 2005, the distribution of the project will be: Anyi County of 200 thousand mu, Nanchang County of 150 thousand mu, Jinxian County of 100 thousand mu, the annual output of rapeseeds will be 45 thousand mu; By the end of 2010, the base in Nanchang County will be enlarged to 400 thousand mu, Jinxian County will be enlargeed to 200 thousand mu. After the project implementation in Nanchang city, the rapeseeds will mainly marketed to Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hubei. The processed products will be mainly distributed to Shanghai, Fujian and Guangdong. Meanwhile, the implementation of project will promote the development of oil development in Nanchang, also the industry in feed processing, livestock and aquatic production.
