Foreign High Quality Dairy Cattle Imported in Miyun
Beijing Qianshan Livestock Company introduced 100 head origin Holstein dairy cattle from Canada in September 2002. After 45 days quarantine in Tianjin Custom and feeding in Chifeng City Ningcheng County for 6 month, the cattle safely arrived in Jianshan Company in July 2, 2003. The introduction of the origin breeding dairy cattle will able to produce about 50 head dairy caws each year has the capacity of milk of 6000-8000kg annually, greatly increases the economic benefit.
Qijia of Jilin Has the Aerage One Cattle Per Household
In Changchu of Jilin province, a village named Qijia Village has placed a lot emphasis on the cattle production to increase the household income. At present, there are 6420 cattle in the village, which mean at least one in each family, and the cattle production can earn 1000 RMB per year per person.
Qijia Village has aimed at adjusting the agriculture structure to utilize the abundant natural resource, learnt advanced livestock production technique and carried out a series of preferential policies. The village has provided 50 hectares of pastures, following with 1.28 million RMB credit which help people to resolve the problem of being lack of money.
