Poultry Meat Price Will Gradually Increase in China
In the second quarter of 2003, The situation of China¡¯s export of poultry meat was not very good. For the Russian Government issued management rules on the poultry meat import quota since April 2003. Now China has got the export permit, which much lower than that of last year. Also, since May 2003, Japan stopped import poultry products from China. As estimated, China¡¯s export of poultry meat will quickly increase Since September.
Egg Price Begin to Increase in Beijing
Since January 2003, the egg price has been dropping in Beijing market. Statistical data provided by Beijing Rural and Suburb Economic Information Center showed that, in the first half year of 2003, the wholesale price of eggs decreased 10.89% than that of 2002 in Beijing. In recent time the price is going up obviously.
Since February 2003, the egg price began to drop. The main reason for the price dropping is that the scale of layer breeding enlarged and the output of layers is also increasing, leading the result that the supply is exceeding that of demand. But in Beijing the egg output is still increasing. By the end of May 2003, the egg output reached 60 thousand tons, increased 5.3% than that of 2002.
With the weather become warmer in July and August 2003, the output and supply of eggs decreased. As estimated, the egg price will further increase in the second half year of 2003.
