A Large Modern Breeding Pig Farm is Under Construction
A large modern pig breeding farm began its construction at present by new methods for raising swine - ¡°SEW technology¡±. The new farm is called ¡°Beijing Great Wall Dan Yu Ltd¡± located in the Yanqing county of Beijing Municipality.
The company has 10 million RMB register money and the total investment is 25 million RMB. The new farm is designed to raise 600 sows. All the breeding pigs will be imported from Demark. The new technologies such as SPF and SEW will be adapted to the operation of this farm. The new farm is planning to have the breeding pigs imported by the end of this year. It is estimated that the farm would supply 2000 head of breeding pigs to the China market in2004 and 7000 head each year since 2005.
Inventory of Safety Dairy Cattle Reached 46 Thousand Head in Harbin
From January to June, 2003, there are two new safety dairy processing enterprises set up in Harbin. The serious competition in the dairy industry stimulated the promotion for the development of cattle breeding industry. At present the inventory number for the safety dairy cattle is 46 thousand head in Harbin.
Statistics made by Harbin Agriculture Survey Team showed that, in the first half year of 2003, there are morn that 20 varieties in the total dairy industry has got the Top grade certificate issued by National Safe Food Development Center. The inventory number of safe dairy cattle reached 46 thousand head with the output of safe milk was 69 thousand tons. In Xiangfang Farm, the dairy industry developed quickly after the construction of dairy recourse base control by Wan Da Shan Dairy Group. The inventory of dairy cattle increase from 500 head to 2000 head, becoming a modern comprehensive base concentrated in feeding management, breeding and disease prevention, Wandashan dairy industry spread its business not only in Harbin city, but also the counties around Harbin. In Shuangcheng City, it has set up Wandashan fresh milk purchase station. In the two district and three counties of Harbin City, the breeding of cattle has reached 50 thousand head, of which the safety dairy cattle is accounting for above 90%.
Hebei¡¯s Output of Livestock Products Rank Top in China
The latest statistics provided by Provincial Statistics Bureau showed that, in 2002, the livestock industry developed smoothly in Hebei Province. The livestock products increased stably on the basis of purify of variety structure. The output of meat, eggs and milk ranked first in China.
As statistical, the proportion on the meat, eggs and milk has changed from 1996¡¯s 7.4:5.6:1 to 2002¡¯s 32.:2.6:1. In 2002, the total meat output was 4.75 million tons in Heibei1` province, increased 5.6%, ranking the fifth in China. The output of poultry eggs was 3.89 million tons, an increasing of 5.4%, ranking the second in China, of which the eggs output was 3.71 million tons, ranking first in China. In recent years, the milk production has been the focus in dairy industry. Since the period in the Ninth Five-Year-Plan, the milk output increased quickly with an annual increasing of 22.7%. In 2002, the output of total diary products was 1.49 million tons, of which the milk output was 1.37 million tons, increased 27.5%, ranking the third in China and increased 968.3 thousand tons than that of early of the ninth five-year-plan.
