The Output Value of Animal Husbandry Account for 45% of the total Agriculture Output Value in Jilin Province of North China

  According to some analysis the output value of animal husbandry in Jilin has reached 29 billion RMB in 2001 compared with 2000 it increased 7.6% and account for 45% of the total agriculture output value.

The Jilin province has placed the emphasis on developing animal husbandry industry and speed the development of animal husbandry industry in recent years. The storage amount of hog, cattle, sheep and poultry were 23.39 million head, 7.35 million head, 6.40 million head and 0.62 billion in the end of 2001 and increased 4.97%, 5.01%, 4.95% and 4% compared with 2000. The total output of meat, egg and dairy have reached 2.60 million tons, 0.83 million tons and 0.155 million tons with the range of 4.86%, 3.7% and 3.33% respectively from the 2000.
