40% of students say nutrition of no concern
Forty percent of primary and middle school students do not eat a balanced diet, a recent survey shows.
The Shanghai Education Commission interviewed 3,325 students from all the primary and middle schools. Results indicated that 40 percent of the students said they were not particular about food and cared little about nutrition.
Not eating breakfast, not enough sports and addiction to online surfing or watching TV were the main problems, commission surveyors said. The experts warned that the students, especially female and those in primary school, should be more concerned about malnutrition.
