In Jan.17,2005, Mr.Zhang baowen, the vice minister of MOA, said China
already break the limited of the crop increase in the long period. The
innovation system of the five staple crop: rice, corn, wheat, rapeseed,
soybean is already established. It's according to the reports, the sown
area of this five staple crop is 1.2 billion mu for an average tear,
about 70 percent of the all sown area. It's the important guarantee
of the China grain security.
