Heilongjiang Make Efforts in Safe Animal Products

At present, Heilongjiang make great efforts in the development of safe animal products. Until now, 89 varieties of animal products gained the safe symbol including milk, live hogs, beef cattle, mutton sheep and goose.

As indicated by Heilongjiang Provincial Livestock Bureau, by the end of 2002, it has set up 8511 farms and 10 fresh milk production base in Heilongjiang province with the inventory dairy cattle of 421 thousand head and the annual production of fresh milk of 1028 thousand tons.
